About
Dr. Andrea Malkin Brenner is the creator of the Talking College™ card decks, which contain insider tips and discussion prompts for college-bound students and those helping them on their journeys. She is also co-author of How to College: What to Know Before You Go (and When You're There). Grounded in her 25 years as a college professor and university administrator, Dr. Brenner offers talks and workshops to high school and college audiences. Andrea’s presentations focus on the academic, social, and emotional skills students need before college; moving from dependence to independence; college health, wellness, and safety; finding campus resources; productive communications skills; and on taking the central role in their college experiences. She often works with parents as they transition their role from high school to college parent.
