Description of Services : Karen's personalized services (offered on an hourly or package basis) include:
- evaluating the student's academic transcript, test scores and extra curricular credentials
- recommending appropriate college preparatory courses, summer experience activities, developing extra curricular interests and/or potential leadership opportunities
- planning the best times for scheduling the PSAT, SAT Reasoning Test, SAT Subject Tests, ACT and other appropriate standardized tests
- developing a list of appropriate colleges based on your student's values, interests, personal needs, goals and academic profile
- assisting the college bound athlete with developing an athletic resume and providing information about the recruitment process
- assistance preparing for campus visits and interviews, including mock interviews and role plays
- assistance with the timely completion of college applications, essay review, and obtaining quality recommendations
- assistance with applying for scholarships and need-based aid
- assistance with assessing college acceptance offers and evaluating financial aid award letters
Description of Experience : 25+ years as a high school counselor. Presentor at state, regional and national conferences including NACAC Critical Components conference.
