Description of Services : 1) Comprehensive service starting in junior year (or mid-sophomore), and covering test prep advising, activities and and resume support, class selection, college list building including merit aid and need-based aid consideration, essay coaching/review/editing, supplementary essay advising and interview prep. 2) A college list development service. 3) Nursing student advising at all levels.
Description of Experience : I have been working privately with students and their families since 2008. Since 2019 I have also been an unpaid college counselor for a small CBO in Mid Hudson (NYS) for first gen students, mainly Mexican-American. Previously I was a paid college counselor for one year for a CBO in NYC, serving low-income and first gen students.
