Myra started in education in 1994 and is in her 29th year counseling students. She has advised thousands of young people as they've gone through the college admissions process while working at a public high school, as an independent educational consultant, and as the College and Career Counselor at the largest private high school west of the Mississippi. She has served on Counselor Advisory Boards for several universities including Villanova, Southern Methodist (SMU), Seton Hall, Drexel, the University of the Pacific, and the University at Buffalo. She was also an admissions reader for the University of California, Irvine for three years and is the Regional Coordinator for the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) in Long Beach and Orange County. Several universities have asked her to speak or be a panelist for the admission reps' training including the University of Florida, Louisiana State University, George Mason University, and the University of Limerick/Education in Ireland.
Myra has personally toured over 500 colleges around the world and is an ex-officio Board Member of the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC). She also works part-time at JSerra Catholic High School where her role is to establish relationships with universities worldwide and to coordinate the college-related events on campus (i.e. our College Fair, visits with college reps, College Chats, etc.).
When she's not working with students, you can usually find her at a hockey rink or walking her cat, Cheeto, at the beach.
