With more than 8 million participants in high school athletics across the country each year, Independent Educational Consultants often find themselves counseling student-athletes. It is important for IEC's to present all the post-high school athletic options as well as the value of each option, and be able to identify when one path might not be as effective as another for a family. 

This presentation will delve into the opportunities and options beyond traditional 4-year college recruitment, highlighting alternative routes for athletic success like reclassifying, taking a Gap Year or Post Grad year, playing in community college and studying & playing abroad. Additionally, we will share counseling strategies to empower athletes who may need to adapt their approach to achieve their goal of being a college athlete.
