Description of Services : I work with individual clients and small groups on all aspects of college (including transfer students) and graduate school readiness. My clients attend match colleges around the world and are making a difference in their own lives, families, and communities. I meet clients via Zoom, FaceTime, and other platforms. I also give presentations around the country, Canada, and virtually on college readiness and powerful college application essays.

Because I am committed to education equity, I am a tenured full professor at Cal State LA, where I train urban teachers and work with first generation college students. I volunteer for schools, community organizations, non-profits, and other groups, including Upward Bound, Los Angeles Unified School District, Cash For College, LA Public Libraries, M.O.S.T.E, and Latinos in College.

Description of Experience : I work with clients whose children range in age from 10 and older. I help with readiness for high school, college, and graduate school. I work with students who are in the process of transferring schools as well. I help with high school class and activity selection, test readiness plans, college list development and visits, and application completion. I specialize in college application essays, and I work with clients in my home area of Los Angeles as well as clients virtually around the country and the world.
