Description of Services : Empowered Admissions Services provides personalized, one-on-one college counseling for high school students and their families. I guide students through every step of the admissions process—from building a balanced college list and exploring academic, social, and financial fit to crafting authentic essays, organizing applications, and understanding scholarships and financial aid—so families feel informed, supported, and confident from start to finish.
Description of Experience : I’ve worked in higher education since 2001, supporting students in residence life, student life, academic support services, and transfer advising. After spending a year as a high school counselor, I launched my private practice in 2018 and now intentionally limit my caseload to about 15–20 students per graduating class so I can provide truly individualized guidance. As a Certified Educational Planner, I stay current by attending professional conferences, working toward specializations in athletic advising and UK university advising, and visiting more than 20 colleges each year. Within HECA, I also serve in volunteer leadership roles, including conference planning and coordinating college tours, so I can offer families informed, up-to-date insight into the college admissions process.
