Andrea Coupe has visited hundreds of college campuses, usually on special counselor visits (domestic and international), and worked alongside students from more than 60 different high schools in and out of the United States. She dedicates herself to connecting a student's personality, learning style, and future potential with the classroom experience and curriculum options on a college campus. 

Andrea Coupe is a member of The American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP) that awards the CEP credential to professionals, working independently or in high schools, and is an application reviewer of CEP applications for future members. She is a lifetime member of the Admissions Advisory Board for High Point University in North Carolina. She is an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Western Association for College Admission (WACAC), Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), and a Professional Level Member of Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). In her community, she actively supports Cancer Support Community Pasadena and is a speaker on topics about the college application process, the planning of essay content, and how to build a modern list of colleges.

Encourages effective work habits so the student will arrive on a campus ready for years of personal growth and academic success

Description of Experience : For the past two decades I have worked with hundreds of high schools students through the entire college search and application process. I use my K - Adult Education and Reading/Writing Specialist training to assess learning strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate college curriculum. I develop a relationship with my students where we discuss how to choose a major, possible essay topics they can draft that answer the questions fully, and interview preparation when needed. With a fully confidential and professional work ethic I encourage my students to develop a well informed relationship with their school counselor. I have developed many professional relationships with college admission counselors and have attended numerous Counselor Fly-In events. I adopted a high school in South Central Los Angeles where I volunteer my counseling services for their Senior College Program. I have been active in WACAC as a volunteer, a member of NACAC, a Professional IECA member and a member of the Character Collaborative.
