Description of Experience : I have been working full time as an independent college admission consultant since March, 2021, working with roughly 15-20 comprehensive clients per graduating year, in addition to other clients on an hourly or targeted basis. I also work with a handful of pro bono, first generation college students. Prior to starting this business, I worked as a teacher/administrator in independent schools and took on a few college essay coaching clients as time allowed. I also was an assistant director of admission at Brown University in the 90s. From 2000-2021 (with a year or two off here and there), I was a senior admission reader at Brown, evaluating thousands of applications and taking files through committee in certain years. I have also coached essay writing for first generation college students through the Upward Bound program.
