Description of Experience : 2007-2009 as an independent full-service (i.e., the entire application process) consultant in San Diego (part time, as my boys were small).
2008-2010, host of Countdown to College Radio show, airing on WNSH in Boston and wsRadio.com online. Our family had moved to Sacramento, but it was a temporary move, so I didn't take on any new full-service clients.
2010-2021 worked under the umbrella of Advanced College Solutions in Temecula, CA, teaching their college essay-writing workshop twice per year (June and August) and then acting as the lead editor (of five) for their clients applying to the most selective schools.
2018--present--back to full-service consulting with my own clients. I still teach the essay course and edit essays for ACS. Thought it would be helpful at this point (esp. with the recent admissions-related scandals in the news) to confirm my ethics and approach through membership in HECA.
2018-2019 school year: Volunteered at Foothill Technology High School, helping students with their UC, Cal State, and Common App applications, as well as their essays.
2020--brought on as an independent contract consultant with College Prep 360, a boutique NYC firm.
