Description of Experience : In 2012 I started my professional career working as a Financial Aid Advisor for a group of national career schools. Financial assistance is the most misunderstood part of the college process and can be one of the biggest barriers of attending your dream college. This firsthand perspective gave me an understanding of how financial aid functions, which allows me to help you identify which colleges will be a good financial fit for your family. (Whether it's based on financial need or merit strategies) In 2015 I began working with a private college planning firm, counseling high school students and their families on college prep plans and strategies, college selection, admission application guidance, EFC analysis, scholarship and financial aid guidance, award evaluations, and appeals. In 2022 I branched out to launch Conscious College Planning to offer holistic college prep services for families so they may make smart decisions with all aspects of the process in mind.
