Description of Services : We counsel students and families to optimize admission opportunities at institutions where students can thrive and that families can afford. Our process focuses on developing the student’s application profile/story, beginning with identifying interests and aptitudes, considering potential majors and careers, and developing a personalized list of 'best fit' colleges. We provide academic and activity planning, a standardized testing timeline, and we offer test prep upon request. Our expert application and essay support reduces stress while it keeps students organized and on track to meet application deadlines. We also provide essay guidance for applicants to private secondary schools and to graduate programs-from topic development to essay completion.
Description of Experience : I have an extensive background in mental health counseling and social work, and I’ve been working in the field of test prep and college planning for more than 15 years. After taking multiple courses through the UCLA and UC Irvine college counseling graduate programs, I was awarded a certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant by UC Irvine's Division of Continuing Education. I've volunteered as a Virtual College Coach with ScholarMatch in San Francisco to assist low-income, high achieving students apply to colleges they might not otherwise consider. I love working with students and families and helping students to achieve their college goals.
