Description of Services : Work with a variety of students ranging from high-functioning and competitive to those who are struggling academically or socially. Help students select 'best-fit' colleges in which to apply. Teach students how to write college essays and fill out applications. Create a customized strategy for the college application process based on the student's interests, strengths and weaknesses.
Description of Experience : I have worked full-time as a school counselor for 22 years in a public high school in New York City. For 17 of those years, I was the Assistant Principal of Counseling Services where I oversaw the college office and counseled students and families. I started my own college advising practice in 2008 where I worked with about 10-15 students per year.
